Test grades constitute 60% of a student’s overall grade.
Students who score below 70 on any teacher-designated major test, such as a curriculum based assessment, will be given one opportunity to retake the test or a suitable alternative test covering the same material. This does not mean send home for them to correct for a 70%.
We have students who teachers are saying that they are struggling but their grades show that they are passing. When asked why they are passing, the response has been correcting test for 70%.
Retest must take place within three school days.
Reteaching of content must be offered in class, Target Time or through tutorials before retest.
